Project Wild Thing

We're really excited about the first event in our "Peaks & City Takeover" weekend in March - a screening of the critically acclaimed "Project Wild Thing" film. It will hopefully kick the weekend off brilliantly!

David Bond is concerned. His kids' waking hours are dominated by a cacophony of marketing, and a screen dependence threatening to turn them into glassy-eyed zombies. Like city kids everywhere, they spend way too much time indoors. He decides it's time to get back to nature - literally.

In an attempt to compete with the brands, which take up a third of his daughter's life, Bond appoints himself Marketing Director for Nature. Like any self-respecting salesman, he sets about developing a campaign and a logo. With the help of a number of bemused professionals, he is soon selling Nature to British families. His humorous journey unearths some painful truths about modern family life.

Don't miss this great chance to see the film screened at our very own cinema in the SU on Friday the 20th March. Get your tickets today from the SU Box Office for just £2.50 - or, if you're taking part in some of the other events over the weekend, just buy the weekend ticket, which includes the prices for the screening and the talk from James Borrell on Saturday. More information about full weekend tickets will be coming soon!
