The University of Sheffield is home to many societies whose students care about the great outdoors.

We decided it was time to bring them all together...

How we work

All of our member societies are independent student groups within the University. Each has its own Committee and makes its own decisions - but each society also has representatives on the Nature Network's Committee to ensure that we work together and complement one another's activities rather than competing - so that you get the most out of our efforts.

So if you want to do practical work for the environment, talk to the Conservation Volunteers or Student Eats. If talks and walks are more your thing, few people do it better than the Natural History Society. For campaigning for change, the Ethical & Environmental Committee are your voice for the environment within the Students' Union. Click on the logos to the right to find out about each of our specialities or use the drop down menu at the top of the page.

To become a member of any of our societies, follow the links to individual websites and Facebook pages - the Nature Network is a space for conversation and collaboration but does not require official 'membership' in itself. Whether you are already involved with one of our groups or just want to find out more about the nature-related activities on offer at the University, our site is here to serve as a hub of information for you!

Any societies who are not currently involved with the Nature Network but wish to be are more than welcome to contact us to find out more.
