Day one: After a long journey the evening before, we were ready to crack on with our work. Our ranger, Rhydian, came to collect us bright and early to lead us to our site; an old cottage by a stream that had been used as a temporary dumping ground. After getting a fire going, we managed to clear a huge chunk of the site.
That evening we all had our tea together and settled down for our [in]famous conservation Olympics including: Blindfolded eating choco challenge, find the sweet in the cream amongst others.
Day two: Rhydian returned early again to take us to the site to pick up where we left off. We managed to clear the main section of the site and also the majority of the back of the cottage. Rhydian kindly thanked us for our hard work and let us go off early so we could pack our bags and leave the bunkhouse.
After clearing the bunkhouse, we decided to go the wrong direction home and go along the Miners Path, one of the Mount Snowdon trails. Unfortunately, we were not able to climb the full ascent of the mountain because of the weather and the sun going down, but we managed to gawp at the majestic peaks of Snowdon and the surrounding peaks, skim rocks along Llyn Llydaw and marvel at the rich colours around the long abandoned miners hamlet beside Llyn Teryn.
