Go Green, Keeping it Clean

Care about the environment? Want to make a difference in your local community? Looking for volunteering project that’s fun, friendly and flexible?

Our ‘Go Green, Keeping it Clean!’ team was set up at the end of the last academic year by a group of students who care about the environment and want to help improve relations between the student population and local residents of Sheffield.

On their travels to and from University they noticed that their fellow students were creating a lot of litter and rubbish and wanted to do their bit to help tackle the mess! This year they will be continuing their amazing hard work and are looking for new recruits to join them. Anyone is welcome to be a part of this friendly and sociable team.

It is completely voluntary, so it's up to you how many hours you do. Signing up doesn't mean that you have to make a regular or long-term commitment, so this project is perfect for those who are short on time but still want to make a difference.

Volunteering looks great on your CV, and is a fantastic way to meet new people. The Go Green project is HEAR recognized if you qualify, so that's something to bear in mind if you are looking to impress future employers.
